DETOXIFY AND CLARIFY SKIN WITH BLACK TEA PINK CLAY MASK + PEPPERMINT TEA GREEN CLAY MASK BY KOREAN BRAND COSMEATEA EXCLUSIVE TO STYLE STORY

I've been obsessing over clay masks lately. I love the way they make my skin look and feel and they are just a good all-round skin treatment and suitable for most skin types. I was kindly sent two clay masks from Cosmetea and was keen to put them to test immediately.

Cosmetea is a Korean brand. Their clay mask uses a special '3 Blending System' which is a blend of botanical oil and extracts and using 'Tea Water' instead of regular water.

Black Tea Pink Clay Mask
A deliciously scented creamy whipped texture pink clay mask that is formulated with black tea extract, to keep skin moist and boosts radiance, kaolin and bentonite which gently exfoliates the skin and lift away impurities, debris and excess oil that can clog pores and cause skin to look dull and Camellia oil, a nutrient and antioxidant-rich moisturiser and skin softener.

This mask doesn't come with a brush applicator, it would of been nice if it did.  I applied the mask with a small brush that I already have from a previous clay mask I used.  I recommend that if you don't own a mask brush to go and buy one, it makes applying that much easier.  Whilst the mask is on skin does tingle a bit but more on the cooler side of tingling.  I left the mask on for 15 minutes and then removed with warm water.  Skin felt stimulated and fresh.  My skin was a little pink afterwards but that only lasted for around 30 minutes and then it settled.

Peppermint Tea Green Clay Mask
Same texture as the pink clay mask but with a fresher mild peppermint scent. This one is more suited for oilier skin. Formulated with peppermint tea which helps to improve skin elasticity and tighten the pores, green clay, kaolin, and bentonite.

I applied the mask with a small brush and left it on roughly the same amount of time as the pink one. My skin also tingled with this mask, but in cooling way. After I removed the mask my skin felt soft and supple and much brighter and clearer. It does claim to tighten and reduce the appearance of pores which I am unsure of as I don't really have large pores to begin with but what I do like is the way my skin look and feels fresh.

I've applied this only to one hand at first to show comparison of results.  As you can see, my right hand is smoother, brighter and looks more hydrated.

Cosmetea Clay Masks comes in a large 200ml tub and retails for $34.95 each and are available exclusively online at Style Story.
