In my previous life I was a label/brand hore but realising smaller homegrown brands have so much more to offer, that are more effective at a fraction of the cost. Here are my thoughts on one of their products. This is the first time I have seen, heard and tested this brand.
Firming Eye Lotion
This eye lotion comes in a very handy pump, prefer this to a tube or jar as it keeps the lotion free from bacteria. It has a lightweight velvety texture leaving eyes feeling soft and supple. There is no sticky residue or heaviness felt around the eyes. After using this eye cream for around 3 weeks, I noticed my eye area appearing more plump with less of the hollowness visible which usually happens as you get older! The fine lines around the eye area is also softer.
The active ingredients include a combination of 6 potent firming Bio-Actives - Paracress Extract, Organic Brown Seaweed, Hyaluronic Acid, Chlorella Vulgaris Extract, Coffee Bean Extract and Raspberry Oil. It is designed to improve elasticity by smoothing lines and wrinkles around the eye, leaving skin lifted and toned with visible effects just as if you had your wrinkles injected. It does this by re-hydrating and revitalising the skin around the eyes which in turn relaxes skin around the eye area.
La Mav Firming Eye Lotion is suitable for all ages and all skin types. Overall, I really liked this eye cream and I would repurchase it. It retails for $39.95 and is available online on their website and at various health food stores around Australia. For a stockist list click here. To check out La Mav's range visit their website here.
