This year Dr Hauschka is celebrating it's 50th Anniversary and they have given their makeup range a makeover, and let me tell you, their packaging is the prettiest I've seen around.  The shape which resembles a guitar pick and the colour, a deep violet shade is just simply divine.  To top it all off, the entire range smells amazing.

Their formulations contain carefully balanced compositions of nurturing plant extracts, waxes and oils as well as mineral pigments. With a longstanding history and outstanding reputation, it's comforting to know that Dr Hauschka carefully created an inspirational collection of colours and textures that not only is stunning but also beneficial for our skin.

Their collection is quite extensive featuring 82 products, with limited editions to be added in the future. Here I have a few pieces I would love to share with you.

Colour Correcting Palette
This palette is the newest edition to the range and the one I am most excited about.  With it's mosaic like pattern of four translucent shades that work together to tone down any redness as well as lightens up the shadows on the skin. It's mineral pigments are combined with nourishing botanical ingredients such as soothing anthyllis and witch hazel for a flawless appearance.

The correcting powder is to be applied under makeup in areas that are prone to redness and/or shadows. This will minimise any skin unevenness with the end results being amazingly even toned.

RRP $72

This foundation offers a light to medium coverage. It contains mineral pigments with nourishing botanical ingredients including pomegranate, macadamia oil and coconut oil. The finish is natural looking and lasted almost the entire day without touch-up. My skin did not feel dry or irritated.

I love the packaging, it's compact and easy to use. It's pump is mess and fuss free and only what you dispense is what is used.

02 almond – RRP $69

This cute compact comes with a mini makeup brush and mirror. It is a single eye shadow palette.

This eyes shadow has a soft and silky texture. It's soft iridescent mineral pigments includes nourishing botanical ingredients such as black tea to moisturise and soothe the delicate skin around the eyes. The colour is not overly pigmented which makes it perfect to build and blends easily.

This blue is simply stunning, it is a cool tone blue pigment.

02 Lapis Lazuli – RRP $34

I absolutely love coloured mascaras but never tried the colour plum. The formulation combines mineral pigments with nourishing ingredients such as quince seed, silk and candelilla wax to envelop and protect the lashes.  It has an amazing mild scent of roses.  I have never owned a mascara that smelt so good!

03 Plum - RRP $

The colour seems bright but it isn't when applied. it is more of a black purple but still looks amazing on. It is buildable and I can easily create volume full dramatic lashes.  The mascara does not flake or smudge.

This super moisturising lipstick contains mineral pigments and botanical ingredients such as rose petals, almond oil and carnauba wax. It has a gorgeous essential oil scent, can't exactly pinpoint the scent but I love sniffing it. This particular colour is called Amaryllis. It is a deep rich red which I think is quite flattering on all skin tones.  I was quite surprised how pretty the colour was as I am not a huge fan of red.

11 Amaryllis – RRP $49

Here are swatches of the eye shadow and lipstick.
