Highlighting palettes are all the rage now and on average consumers own as least half a dozen varieties of highlight/contouring palette or sticks.  I know I have around a dozen of palettes alone!

Focusing on two palettes here - one is cream and the other is powder.  I personally prefer cream palettes but was pleasantly surprised how soft and workable the powder palette is.

Sleep Makeup Highlighting Palette -  Cleopatra's Kiss
Packaged in a splendid gold compact with a mirror and mini powder brush.

The palette includes two baked powders and two cream formula's, which can be used all over the face and body. The creams are perfect for a luminous glow with a more subtle highlighting effect, whilst the powders create a super metallic finish to skin.

These are stunning, I have only swiped the palette once for each colour.  The intensity yet subtle effects is amazing.

Sphinx - a bronzed gold shade powder.
Delta - a cream bronzed golden shade with micro bronze particles throughout.

Dynasty - a pale gold cream bronzer with golden shimmer.
Goddess - a light champagne powder.

These are amazingly pigmented and easy to blend out once applied to the skin. The shimmer is superfine and smooth allowing highlighting to be blended out flawlessly.

This palette retails for $24.95 and is available at Target.

Highlite 'N Con Tour - Highlight & Contour Palette
This palette is fun and colourful.  It features  4 highlight shades - two shimmer and two matte highlighters; 2 contour powders, one bronzer and one blush.

The packaging is fun and vibrant. Resembling a tour poster with tour dates! Inside is a mirror with brief description detailing each pan. The shadows are framed with a design resembling a sound mixing board, the pans are nice and large, perfect for brushes to pick up product.

The colours are named after sound waves - hertz and decibels.

Shimmer Highlighters - 64Hz and 125Hz
These highlighters have a luminous finish. The texture is smooth and shimmer subtle.  Perfect for that natural look and glow.

Matte Highlighters - 250Hz and 500Hz
There highlighters are matte.  The text is smooth and the finish, a lovely healthy shine.

Contouring - 20dB and 10dB
These colours are amazing on the skin.  They aren't too pigmented but are buildable and really easy to blend.  These can be used as a bronzer as well.

Bronzer - 0dB
This is the bronzing powder.  I actually like this shade more as a blush as it is a bit too peachy to be a bronzer for my skin.

Blush - 3dB
This blush is like a raspberry pink with a nice sheen finish. The colour is gorgeous.

This palette retails for $49.95 and is exclusive to David Jones.
