theBalm have some of the prettiest palettes I have seen. Their quality also doesn't go unnoticed! They are so pigmented, soft and blend beautifully. theBalm Cosmetics entire range consists of makeup, skin care, hair care and nail polish. All theBalm's products are paraben and cruelty-free.
All their palette colours have been carefully selected to complement each other. The palette colours all work well together and rarely is one colour used more than another. The packaging is so unique that the brand is easily recognised anywhere by the old skool collage of images.
Appétit - Eyeshadow Palette
This palette consists of 9 eyeshadows which can be used wet or dry. There are 3 mattes, 3 shimmers and 3 foils colours.
These shadows are the usual great quality that The Balm produces. Very pigmented. I especially like how well the mattes perform.
Inside the palette is a magnetic stencil that says 'Eat Ur 💚 Out. Lift this to reveal the full palette of colours.
The top three are matte shades. Subtle but very pigmented.
The middle three shades are shimmery. Highly pigmented and blendable.
The bottom three are foil colours. These are my favourites. Also highly pigmented.
The entire palette works really well with each colour. Depending how dramatic you want the look, there are endless combination of looks that can be achieved.
Highlite 'N Con Tour - Highlight & Contour Palette
This palette consists of 4 highlight shades - two shimmer and two matte highlighters; 2 contour powders, one bronzer and one blush.
The packaging is fun and vibrant. Resembling a tour poster with tour dates! Inside is a mirror with brief description detailing each pan. The shadows are framed with a design resembling a sound mixing board, the pans are nice and large, perfect for brushes to pick up product.
These highlighters have a luminous finish. The texture is smooth and shimmer subtle. Perfect for that natural look and glow.
Matte Highlighters - 250Hz and 500Hz
There highlighters are matte. The text is smooth and the finish, a lovely healthy shine.
Contouring - 20dB and 10dB
These colours are amazing on the skin. They aren't too pigmented but are buildable and really easy to blend. These can be used as a bronzer as well.
Bronzer - 0dB
This is the bronzing powder. I actually like this shade more as a blush as it is a bit too peachy to be a bronzer for my skin.
Blush - 3dB
This blush is like a raspberry pink with a nice sheen finish. The colour is gorgeous.
I'm looking forward to growing my 'Balm' palette collection. It has definitely adds a bit of fun and colour to my makeup drawer.
