REVIEW: RIMMEL LONDON SCANDAL’EYES + BROW THIS WAY NEW RELEASES

Rimmel London have released some excited new products featuring eyes and brows! From reformulating Brow this Way to revolutionising Scandal'Eyes Bold Liner with a precise ball-tip applicator, it's no wonder there is so much excited in the air.  I want to share these three products I received to review.

Brow This Way with Argan Oil Brow Gel - RRP $12.95
I love brow gels especially when they work a dream. I have thick coarse eyebrow hairs and they need to be tamed, but some brow gels can be too sticky or thick and separate the hairs giving it the obvious gel look.

WHATS NEW!
Infused with Argan Oil, it made sense to add it to brow products since it's commonly found in haircare products. Perfect for taming those unruly rebellious hairs with a natural result.

I love the new formula and brush. The brush applicator is slightly different from the original one. It has a more tapered shape making it easier to tame and shape brows. My brow holds nicely without looking spiky and separated. Only takes a few seconds to dry.

It's lightweight, long-lasting formula is smudge-proof and fade-proof, perfect for all-day regardless of weather. Comes in three shades - Blonde, Mid Brown, Dark Brown and transparent gel.

Scandal'Eyes Bold Flick Liner - RRP $13.95
This waterproof liner comes with a ball tip applicator. It's long-lasting and fade-proof, staying on the eyes for more than 24 hours without smudging.

First impressions - surprised at the shape and round ball-like tip. This one took a bit of getting used to. I wasn't sure how to use the liner with the ball tip and whether it would be easier or more difficult to apply. I was able to achieve a nice graphic line using just one swipe. It was so easy. I love the feel of this liner because it helps to draw the line much easier that a normal liner.

It is formulated with rich black pigments, with maximum colour intensity and a high-shine glossy finish.

Scandal'Eyes Reloaded Waterproof Mascara - RRP $17.95
I love Rimmel mascaras.  I think I own the entire range.  This one is no exception.  One coat is enough to give me lush long lashes without the over applied look.

Perfect for those hot and humid days when half my makeup falls off!  If you want to go for an afternoon dip and you don't want to come out of the water with your mascara half way down your face, this is the mascara to wear.  It is waterproof with no smudge or flaking and comes off easily with waterproof makeup remover.

The brush head has a tapered design to allow each lash to be coated evenly, giving the volume our eyes need to stand out.

It was so easy to complete to apply the liner.  Images below show all three items used. I used Brow This Way in Clear.  I know I need to tidy up the brow area!

The eye liner was super easy and for me that's a huge plus as I tend to avoid applying liquid liner due to my disaster history in applying.   The mascara has two coats and there is no clumping.

Overall, I am pretty impressed with these new releases.  What's your favourite favourite Rimmel product?

Rimmel London is available at Priceline, Chemist Warehouse, Target, Kmart, Big W, selected pharmacies, Coles and Woolworths. For more information visit Rimmel's website here.

REVIEW: ULTA3 LOVED CHEEK PALETTE

Ulta3 have released a special Collection Edition of products specially for mum this Mothers Day.

Whether you want to throw in some extra goodies or get mum the entire collection, either way mum will definitely have a smile with these gorgeous pieces.

On the other hand it doesn't have to be Mother's Day to add these value for money makeup items to your collection.  The nail colours are so versatile and the eye shadow colour combinations are endless.

I have in my hands the LOVED Cheek Palette

This palette features a banana powder, blush and contouring powder. This slim-line compact contains a mirror inside the compact and large, brush friendly pans, perfect for bigger contouring brushes or blush applicators.

The texture of the powders are soft and silky with barely any fallout.  The colour glides on smoothly and blends really well.  The pigment is quite good and is buildable which is fab as it leaves very little room for the over contoured look.

The colour on the left is the banana powder.  It's perfect to eliminate dark circles as well as highlighting.   The middle shade is the blush and the the dark shade on the right is the contouring shade.

On every Ulta3 palette there is always a detailed diagram and instructions on how to use their palettes.  This is perfect for me as I constantly need to follow pictures as well as instructions when applying makeup.

Ulta3 Mother's Day Collection are all priced under $15.00.  To find a Ulta3 stockist click here, alternatively you can purchase from their website www.ulta3.com.au.

REVIEW: SUNCARE WITH ELLA BACHÉ FEATURING FACESAVER + SPORTSBLOC ACTIVE 50+

A skincare regime is vitally important to start as soon as you can in life, with our harsh damaging rays and environmental factors our skin ageing process is accelerated at high speed if no skincare plan is in place and the one item that is mandatory in a skincare regime is sunblock. And it shouldn't be seasonal either.

How many of you would pack away your sunscreen now that Winter is approaching? I know there are many who do because I was one of them! Many consumers relate Summer to sunburn but forget the sun doesn't change its harmful rays of UVA and UVB each season. Sun exposure is sun exposure. It is still harmful between the hours of 12 and 3. A dedicated face sunscreen should be an essential part of your skincare regime all year round.  The sun's UV rays will always win.

NEW RELEASE: ESSENCE MAKE-UP CONCEALERS & HIGHLIGHTER PICKS FOR AUTUMN/WINTER

The Autumn/Winter Essence Make-up collection has been released and here a few products to look out for.

All I Need Concealer Palette
This is a colour correcting concealer palette offering five different colours. It is light weight and handy, making it very travel-friendly.

Don't judge the colours too soon. If you find that the colours are not suitable for your skin, they can be easily blended together to suit your own skin tone.

The pink and yellow will counteract purple tones - perfect for reducing dark circles under the eyes. The green concealer will neutralise the redness and the light and dark beige shades have a mattifying effect.

The consistency is creamy, powder-finish texture is easy to apply and blend. It is an overall good palette to have.

Luminous Matt Bronzing Powder
The design on the packaging is pretty. I like the transparent packaging and that you can see the product.

The bronzer is embossed with a gorgeous pattern, with the matt bronzer on the outside and lighter shimmery shade in the core.

The case is transparent but not very sturdy. As you can see the hinge is already broken. It's a pity because the product is really nice.   The pigment is really pretty starting off really subtle and is buildable to a shade you are happy with.

Camouflage Full Coverage Concealer
This concealer comes in a tube with an applicator, just the way I like my concealers.  It is easy to apply and I can target the areas I want covered.  I am not fond of squeeze tube concealers, I find them messy and easy to over apply.

The Camouflage concealer is just that, it camouflages and does a pretty good job at it. It is long-lasting and highly pigmented. The texture is smooth  It's liquid-creamy texture covers-up dark circles under the eyes and other skin imperfections.

Essence offers quality products at affordable prices with their extensive range of makeup always being on-trend as well as their foundation and concealer ranges offering excellent coverage, it is a brand that I will always look out for when shopping for beauty.

Prices
Camouflage Full Coverage Concealer RRP $5.10
Luminous Matt Bronzing Powder RRP $6.15
All I Need Concealer Palette RRP $7.15
