Bourjois have relaunched their iconic foundation with fresh packaging and new formula. Retaining it's creamy texture and natural uniform finish, it now contains a combination of vitamins C, E and B5 to help make your complexion look healthier, more radiant and appear less tired.

The Healthy Mix range are game changers in the drugstore makeup department. These light-medium-buildable coverage, even out skin tone and brighten complexions, while providing a vitamin-rich fruit therapy formula. It has a dewy finish, leaving skin feeling amazing.  Its thin consistency allows easy blending to the point it becomes undetectable on the skin.

Healthy Mix Anti-Fatigue Foundation has a fresh and fruity scent which disappears almost immediately once applied. Usually foundation alone is not sufficient for my face as I do have redness on my cheeks, chin and between the brows. This is where using the concealer comes in. But this foundation covers at least 50% of my redness reducing it quite dramatically. The consistency is perfect allowing for easy blending making it a perfect foundation for everyday wear. It is very moisturising and doesn't sit into pores or fine lines.

Comes in six shades - Light Vanilla, Vanilla, Light Beige, Beige, Dark Beige, Light Bronze. Retails for $29.

The Healthy Mix Concealer formula has the same fresh fruity fragrance as the foundation. Comes with a super soft flocked applicator wand for easy application. Contains ingredients to help revive the radiance of the eye contour - spherical powders to blur, smooth and leave a silky finish, light-reflecting pigments for immediate radiance and a flawless finish. Erases any evidence of dark circles, puffy eyes and sleepless nights!

I love my concealers, it is one if my must-haves in my makeup kit.  I use concealer every day. The coverage is really good. It has a light weight creamy consistency and super easy to blend. It leaves the eye area a lot more brighter and fresher, covering up any evidence of fatigue.  There is no need for my green or purple eye primer when using this concealer.  This is also perfect for covering up spots, scars and any other imperfections.

Comes in three  shades - Light, Medium, Dark. Retails for $20.

Have you tried the Bourjois Healthy Mix Anti-Fatigue concealer? What are your thoughts on it?

Serum Foundations are currently trending in the beauty world and are the perfect product for the ‘no make-up make-up look’. Nutrimetics have released a market game changer with this muli-tasking serum foundation that has been designed to not only cover imperfections but also work to even skin tone and provide the amazing skincare benefits of an anti-ageing serum.

The Professional Flawless Air Serum Foundation formula is a serum based and contains a Marine Algae Extract which helps reactivate the metabolism of ageing cells and promote firmer skin, for a more youthful appearance. It also contains SPF 15 to protect against future ageing from the sun.

It comes in a luxurious glass bottle with a custom drop applicator. The consistency is quite thin, not like your typical liquid foundation. Upon first impressions I wouldn't think that this foundation would provide a medium buildable coverage but surprisingly it does. It applies easily and blends nicely giving me a seamless flawless finish.

To apply, you need to shake the bottle well. Either drop onto the back of your hand and smooth onto face with fingertips, or use with the Professional Serum Foundation Brush, in an outward and downward strokes in a circular motion.

With the image below, the top half you can see the veins and marks on my arm and on the bottom half , my skin is even toned and smoother.  The Flawless Air foundation perfectly covers any imperfection without evidence of cover-up.

I roadtested this foundation over a three week period. I found that the optical diffusers minimised the appearance of my pores with the foundation sitting over them not in them. This foundation wore really well with no touch-ups required throughout the day. My skin didn't experience any dehydration, instead appeared fresh the entire day. I am super impressed by the quality and durability of this foundation. This product is definitely one to watch!

The serum foundation is available in 4 shades: cream, beige, camel, golden and is suitable for all skin types.

The Nutrimetics Professional Flawless Air Serum Foundation retails for $62.00.  For more information visit their website

Elizabeth Arden recently launched two Summer Collections – Tropical Escape and Eyes Wide Open Collections.

Beauty queen giant Elizabeth Arden has nailed it with their latest colours in their Eyes Wide Open collection. A bold eye look with dramatic lashes are so on trend.

As for their Tropical Escape Colour Collection, it's a bronzing goddess in the making! With their gorgeous collection of tinted lip oils and bronzing products.

Here's a preview of what's available in store.

Eyes Wide Open Collection

The Eyes Wide Open Collection features a collection of eyeshadow trio's, palette, mascara and brow gel.

Eyeshadow Trio's

L-R: Love of Grey, Something Blue, Bronzed to Be, Oh So Pink, Forever Plum

These compact eyeshadow trio's have been designed to complete your look, featuring an enhance shade that can be used as a base, a define shade for contouring and a highlight shade to brighten and open eyes.

Texture is smooth, long-wearing and the formula crease-resistant. It's all thanks to the key ingredients used to create these beautiful eyeshadows.  Vitamin E to condition and nourish the lids, a blend of 4 silky, spherical ingredients that impart a bouncy, cream-like texture when applied on the lids, Retinyl Palmitate to create a smooth, blurring effect on fine lines and wrinkles on the lids and mica based pearls and titanium dioxide to help reflect and diffuse sparkle and create the multi-dimensional effect on the eyes.

My favourites is the Something Blue and Bronzed To Be.  These shades are flattering for every skin tone - from neutrals to bright blues, greens, pinks and purples in a variety of matte, shimmery and metallic finishes, perfect for day to evening.   It can be applied wet or dry depending on your desired level of colour intensity.

The customisable Little Black Compact allows you to choose and combine eyeshadow trios creating your own personal look.  It's easy to chop and change your pans to suit your needs for the day.  No need to bulk up your makeup bag and perfect for travelling.

There are 10 palette trio's to choose from - RRP $28.00 ea.

Lasting Impression Mascara

The Lasting Impression Mascara, gives lashes added length and definition. I haven't been this impressed with a mascara since their release of Grand Entrance mascara!  Elizabeth Arden's innovative and buildable formula delivers exceptional length, separation and definition for super charged, glossy lashes and maximum eye impact all day long.

With their Ceramide technology, as well as avocado oil, olive oil and Vitamin C to condition, thicken, define and lengthen lashes, there is no need for falsies. Their unique brush with five iconic spheres grab, coat, extend and fan out lashes. The formula is smudge proof, clump- and flake-free.

Comes in two colours - Lasting Black and Lasting Brown - RRP $42.00.

Statement Brow Gel

I love my brow gels. Brows are the most important element in framing the eyes and face. And if you have brows like me, you want a product that will tame them from rebelling.

Elizabeth Arden's Statement Brow Gel Shaper is an all-in-one tinted gel that not only grooms but tints defines, fills-in and conditions brow hairs for perfectly so there is no more bad brow days!  I usually fill in the spaces in my brow with a brow pencil and then apply a brow gel and find that my brows look more natural with this gel than the one I previously used. There is only one downside is that it can get tricky doing the ends of the brows as the wand bristles are a little to wide for that.

The key ingredients is important in a brow gel as there is no room for error or bad formulation. The key to good brow gel is having ingredients like beeswax and carnauba to help define and hold brows in place, kaolin, a natural clay that give brows it's texture, mineral pigments and pearls to naturally fill brows and reflect light to create dimension, shea butter and rapeseed oil to moisturise and condition the brows and silk and panthenol to help nourish and condition the brow hair.

Comes in 4 colours - Blonde, Honey, Brown and Deep Brown - RRP $32.00.

Tropical Escape Collection

The Tropical Escape Collection features bronzing powder, body bronzing oil and sheer kiss lip oils.

Sheer Kiss Lip Oils

The Elizabeth Arden Tropical Escape Colour Collection is absolutely stunning. I haven't been this excited for a makeup release in a while and I am finding it hard to pick a favourite amongst the collection - with the FourEver Bronze Bronzing Powder wins, just by a smidgen!

The Sheer Kiss Lip Oils are a creamy, lightweight moisturising tinted lip oil. I would say it's like a hydrating lip balm with a lip gloss pigment and shine. Containing precious oils and antioxidants to deliver hydration and anti-aging benefits, using a blend of coconut, avocado, tsubaki & meadowfoam oils as well as splianthes acmella flower keep lips hydrated and soft.

L-R: Purple Serenity, Pampering Pink, Coral Caress

I love the formula of these. They are a beautiful sheer, lightly pigmented lip oil. The packaging is compact and dispenses quite easily with just a soft squeeze.

They comes in six colours - Coral, Red, Pink, Watermelon, Purple and Neutral - RRP $34.

FourEver Bronze Bronzing Powder

This FourEver Bronze Bronzing Powder which features a four-in-one highlighter, contour, bronzer, and blush palette.

I love love love this bronzing palette. It's subtle and buildable. The texture is light and has a matte finish. You can achieve a naturally sculpted look and if you want a more defined look you can build. It comes with a half moon brush but I personally like using my own brushes, but the small compact one is perfect for the handbag for touch-ups

The highlighter offers a very subtle glow with a subtle matte finish, the blush add a nice peachy pink colour, the darker bronzing colour is perfect to define and sculpt the face and the light colour adds warmth to the outer frame of your face. Each of the 4 shades can be used individually or together.

The FourEver Bronze Bronzing Powder contains Silica, Mica and Sericite – microfine particles that diffuse light to blur fine lines and wrinkles, dry flo starch absorbs excess surface oils, hyaluronic acid  to keep skin hydrated, lecithin, an emulsifier to soften and smooth skin and vitamins C & E.

It comes in two shades - Medium an Deep, perfect for all skin tones - RRP $ 48.

Body Bronzing Oil

This is an beautiful bronzing oil that gives skin a nice and subtle glow. The formula is light and gives a warm golden shimmer. It is really flattering especially around the chest area. It isn't super shimmery and perfect for all skin tones. The scent is subtle and completely disappears after a few minutes.

The key ingredients are sunflower seed oil which maintains the skin’s barrier and decreases moisture loss, jojoba and macadamia oil to hydrate and soften the skin, meadowfoam seed oil to help balance skin’s oil levels for a smooth appearance, pomegranate seed oil, it soothes and protects and vitamin E to protect against environmental factors.

Elizabeth Arden have really exceeded expectations with these two collections.  Each piece is beautiful and suitable for every skin type and tone. Even though I have some favourites I would use every item in this collection.

These products are available at all Elizabeth Arden counters Australia wide.  For more information on their collections visit their website

Dr Bronner's soaps are renowned for their quality, versatility and eco-friendliness. A family run business that started 150 years ago in Germany. Dr Bronner's outstanding achievements include pioneering USDA certified organic personal care products, to creating Fair Trade projects across the world that ensure fair and just treatment of farmers and workers, while devoting profits to worthwhile causes and charities worldwide.

Quality soapmaking consists of choosing the right proportions of the right oils. Coconut oil is very high lathering, but can be drying. Olive oil gives a really soft and luxuriant lather, but in small amounts. By using both coconut and olive oils in the right ratio, Dr. Bronner’s unsurpassed soaps offer the best of both worlds: high lather with superb softness on the skin.

To top it off, their soaps also contain hemp and jojoba oils, which mirror the natural oils in the skin’s sebum, thus imparting a wonderful after feel once the soaps are washed away.

There are lots of things to think about when it comes to haircare and finding the right shampoo and conditioner is one of them. Finding the products for your hair is vitally important as this is the base for anything else you do to your hair like drying and styling and can alter your end results.

Ecostore products are made from plant based ingredients, has no parabens, and is designed to prevent hair breakage by gently cleansing the hair without stripping any unnecessary oils.  Also as there is no silicone, there is no product build up that can cause hair to look limp, dull and unhealthy.

Ecostore products are kind to the environment. Their shampoo and conditioner bottles are made from renewable sugarcane plastic, which is 100% recyclable and helps to reduce our carbon footprint. The ingredients used in their haircare are suitable for our septic tanks. If you have proper grey water systems in place, the wash water from your shower or bath can safely be re-used on your flower gardens, lawns and trees.

The Volumising Shampoo gently cleanses to protect against breakage and replenish fine hair, while building body and shine. The shampoo is transparent and has no colour. It does have a gorgeous natural fragrance of bergamot & orange that is simply divine. It lathers up nicely leaving hair feeling clean without the dry stripped feeling. Hair feels light and incredibly clean.  What's really nice is that my hair had the subtle fragrance of bergamot and orange for two days

The Volumising Conditioner is enriched with Argan and Avocado oils to protect and nourish fine hair, while building body and shine. The conditioner has a thick consistency, conditioning hair leaving it soft and tangle free.

Even though the conditioner is quite thick it didn't leave my hair heavy or limp instead it gave it body without any frizziness.

The Dry, Damaged & Coloured Hair Shampoo formulation uses a unique blend of ingredients to nourish and protect dry or chemically treated hair and help prevent colour fade.  It scent is the same as the other range, orange and bergamot.

I colour my hair every 6 weeks and my hair from mid to ends tends to get quite dry and I can often see split ends forming. The shampoo cleanses leaving scalp felling extremely clean and hair feeling soft even before applying conditioner.

The Dry, Damaged & Coloured Hair Conditioner has a unique blend of ingredients that help prevent tangles while adding body and shine and providing natural conditioning and protection.

Ensure you apply the conditioner mid to ends as it can be quite heavy for the roots. Hair is left feeling soft and healthy without any loss of body.

My personal tip, as the colouring at the roots is not as harsh as the ends I use both shampoos.  I use the volumising shampoo at the roots and the dry, damaged & colour care shampoo for mid to ends. This way I get the best of both!

Ecostore's shampoo and conditioner's retails all for $10.99 each.  Products are available at Chemist Warehouse, Priceline as well as on their online store

There has been a lot of hype around Rimmel's Vitamin C Foundation and Concealer range and I was super excited to have these land on my desk for review. As a mum and working full-time, being and looking fatigued is a regular part in my life. Hallelujah I say, to products that would fade the fatigue away! I also received the #Insta Fix & Go 2 in 1 setting spray, which is a first for me as I have never used a setting spray before.

This year Dr Hauschka is celebrating it's 50th Anniversary and they have given their makeup range a makeover, and let me tell you, their packaging is the prettiest I've seen around.  The shape which resembles a guitar pick and the colour, a deep violet shade is just simply divine.  To top it all off, the entire range smells amazing.

I love hair wraps. I have been using them for years. Before discovering hair wraps I used to wrap my hair in a big heavy towel that used to pull my hair as well as constantly fall off. After a visit to the hair salon and winging to my hairdresser, she told me that drying my hair wrapped in a towel causes hair breakage which results in frizz and that I was better off buying a towel turban.  That is when my hair wraps became a permanent part of my hair routine.

I recently attended the launch for L'oreal's Colorista Innovative Hair Colour Launch which was held at Studio Neon in Redfern.  The creative space was lit in fluoro lighting and by the entrance an artist was painting an enormous canvas which was cool as hell.  On the other end of the floor were beauty stations and a DJ.

It was intriguing watching the artist working with minimal lighting.

I recently attended an intimate gathering for the Elizabeth Arden's 2017 Beauty Innovations preview which was held at Saint Cloche Art Gallery in Paddington, Sydney.

The location was perfect, with stunning art backdrops complementing the beauty displays around the gallery as well as breathtaking flower arrangements.  Elizabeth Arden's beauty innovations launch featured the Tropical Escape Colour,Eyes Wide Open and the White Tea collection.

I love using natural and organic products on my hair and body.  I love feeling the goodness, the smells and of course seeing and feeling the results. And the packaging, it's so pretty!  I'm a sucker for beautiful prints, especially packaging for beauty products. It definitely pretties up the bathroom! I was kindly sent several products to try and here are my thoughts.

Natura Siberica range focuses on using unique natural and organic Wild Harvested herbs and flowers sourced from Siberia. Their main ingredient that gives their products a unique smell is the Oblepikha berry plant, also know as the Altai Sea Buckthorn. They contain an exceptional natural source of vitamins A , E and C. Excellent for your skin and overall well-being.

Wild Harvested Siberian is known to treat ageing skin, reducing wrinkles and enhance firmness. The salts are free from SLS, SLES, GMO plants, mineral oils, PEG, parabens and glycol.

Growing up with three sisters, mum did her best ensuring that whatever products she used on our body was kind to our skin and gentle, especially that one of my sisters and myself suffered from mild eczema.

Fast forward to today and I'm doing the exact same thing for my family. We are fortunate that we have endless choices of brands to choose from and it takes trial and error until you find the right brand and products for you.  It's simple products need to work with our skin not against us.

I choose QV. I have been using it since my son was born 10 years ago. My son suffers from a mild form of eczema which I've been able to maintain by using products that have been dermatologically tested and are pH balance, fragrance and colour free.

Ecotools recently celebrated their brand new range of makeup tools over breakfast at Nour restaurant in Surry Hills.

We were treated to an array of delectable shared plates of delicious foods which included manush bread, Beirut rolls, fatush, rice almond pudding and fresh fruit salads.

Whilst we sipped on our coffees and devoured the yummy food, special guest Emily Banks, a natural health and beauty specialist, talked through the benefits of using natural products when it comes to makeup, finishing with a live demonstration using the new brushes.

Essence Cosmetics have released a range of 'matt matt matt' long-lasting lipglosses. From nudes to brights, these creamy matte formula's are on trend and give luxe brands a run for their money. There's nothing better than scoring a budget lipstick and wowing your friends when you tell them.

Matt matt matt lipglosses are a mousse texture with a velvety matte finish. They are all extremely pigmented, have staying power, and are definitely value for money.

These lipglosses are very lightweight and comfortable on the lips. I was extremely amazed by their creaminess and not overly drying formula as matte lipglosses can feel dry after sometime.  They have a sweet scented formula, I can't pinpoint the exact scent but it reminds me of caramel.

I'm loving their fun names (L to R) - Ready, Set, Impress!, Girl Of Today, Beauty-Approved! and  La Vie Est Belle.

The applicator works great, it's the perfect size, quite stiff and it houses just enough product to cover your lips.

Essence matt matt matt lip glosses retails for $4.95 each. They are available at all Target and Priceline stores. To find out more about the brand or pick up some tips & tricks visit their website here.

We always want what's best for our kids especially when it comes to personal care, so it makes sense to make sure that whatever we give our children to use that it is safe to use.

Teeth brushing is an important and essential part of his daily routine and when they get to a certain age, I can't always be by their side to ensure that they aren't eating the toothpaste in the process.
