SCENTS OF SPRING: THE FRAGRANCE EDIT

With Spring in the air, it’s time to do the switcheroo, packing away the Winter fragrances and bringing out the fresh, light floral and citrus scents.

With many designers going back to their roots and adding a unique twist to their existing scents or reintroducing a classic, here are my Spring picks of fragrances.

So...? Kiss Me EDT

Starting off with classic, the scent is a fragrance that combines sweet, fruity and sensual notes. It's top notes of blackcurrant, pineapple and citrus bursts of summery freshness, which then reveal layers of sweet vanilla and a floral heart and base notes of musk and wood rounding off the fragrance.

The vanilla notes definitely dominates the scent but not overpowering or sickly and moments later the scent settles delicately on the skin.  This is my casual fragrance I would wear on the weekend whilst out shopping, taking my son his sport activities.

So...? Sinful Body Spray

The casual spray.  Also a great accompaniment in layering to it's EDT. Containing a sweet sumptuous mix of scents with top notes of mint and pineapple, middle notes of violet and strawberry and base notes of vanilla, praline and musk.

Pleasantly sweet but not over the top, with each fragrant blending in nicely into each other giving it an overall sweet but subtle smell.

Arlésienne EDT

L’Occitane reintroducing a classic fragrance with it's formula improved and modernised. It's feminine floral fusion, made with extracts of rose from Grasse, sweet violet, and saffron from Provence, combined with white musk and bergamot.

While roses takes me back to my childhood. L'Occitane successfully modernised the fragrance by adding elegance, coolness and a youthful touch.

It's gorgeous rectangle bottle is simple with the base embossed with flowers, encapsulating the pale pink hues of the fragrance and is beautifully finished with a silver cap.  A fragrance I would wear when catching up with girlfriends for lunch or visiting family.  It's light and fun.

L'Homme Cedrat Cologne

L’Homme Cedrat another reworked fragrance from L'Occitane. A heartier version of the classic, featuring Corsican cedrat, mint, ginger, and cedar. It's blend of vibrant, aquatic and citrus notes is set over an intriguing base of woody spices.

This Spring/Summery scent is fresh and citrusy with the occasional burst of lemons. Even though it is for men I quite like this cologne for me. It can easily be a unisex fragrance.  I sneak in a squirt when it's just hubby and me!

Aerin Mediterranean Honeysuckle EDP

A delicate and unique floral-citrusy fragrance, created as 'an escape to the sunny azure Mediterranean'.

It's composition is based on a blend of luminous and sunny citruses blended with an intoxicating and sweet floral bouquet. Sweet honeysuckle and grapefruit accompanied with Italian bergamot and mandarin oil, making floral notes juicier.

Alluring us with Lily of the valley, gardenia and jasmine sambac absolute for a fragrance as magical and elegant as it's inspiration.  A formal fragrance I would to dinner or a function.  A special occasion spritz to liven up any outfit with pure elegance.

Atkinsons My Fair Lily EDP

A Floral fragrance for women and men. Recently launched earlier this year, it's a fragrance of pure radiance and grace.

The untamed beauty of wild chamomile, English rhubarb, and sensually deepened with patchouli and vetiver.

A fragrance I would use in the evening.  Slightly heavier than the rest. Imagine dinner by the sea and then strolling along the beach with your feet kicking the sand and breeze blowing your hair.

So what's your go-to fragrances are as we head into Spring and Summer?
