MBFWA came and went in a blink of an eye. The hype around Fashion Week is exciting and exhausting at the same time, so much to take in. Colours, fashion, accessories!
Here is a recap of the colours that were used backstage during the week with Faby.
Nails were a big focus again for MBFW Australia 2016, with most of the stylists adding the nails into the theme of the collection. Below are some snapshots of colours that were used throughout the week on the runway.
GINGER AND SMART
FABY twinkled on the catwalk at one of Australia’s most iconic designers; Ginger & Smart’s Voyagers Resort 17 Collection. The Ginger & Smart took us on an intergalactic journey with fluid and a symmetrical designs featuring textured white material, galactic prints.

The Hair and Make-up was raw and effortlessly a stark contrast to the tailored designs and fitted dresses.

The hair and make-up was free spirited and effortless. Hair was scrunched and free-flowing. The make-up highlighting only natural features with strong emphasis on brows. There were 5 different nail looks to reflect the theme of independence and choice.
'Black is Black', 'The Colours of the Light', 'Midnight Blue' and 'Paris by Night overlay'
The theme was french royalty, opulent and decant. So the hair and makeup was pretty, feminine and innocent. The hair was curled and bouncy.
Recognised for his signature colour tones, ivory, ruby red and navy, Akira broke tradition by adding a new colour palette - white. This collection was a whole new direction for Akira, a white canvas.

A gorgeous collection that featured different shades of mutted grey suedes and leather, coupled with a strong red - a New York Red Brick Red.

WE ARE KINDRED
The hair, make-up and nail were designed and created in the theme of the brand femininity, individualism, empowerment and strength.
'Beyond the Dunes', 'Metropolis', 'I Scream 4 Ice cream' and 'Sensual Touch'
The hair was messy, relaxed and carefree. The make-up was natural, soft and dewy. The nails symbolised the colour tone of the collection Silver nails with Matte top coat with 1 accent nail painted with an edgy white strip.
'My First Ring' with Matte Top Coat & 'Optical White' (applied with nail art brush)
The much anticipated TOME parade showcased a directional shift for the designing duo. nails and toes were dark and dangerous with a Swarovski crystal featured at the base of each finger nail and on the big toe nail.
