MBFWA came and went in a blink of an eye. The hype around Fashion Week is exciting and exhausting at the same time, so much to take in. Colours, fashion, accessories!

Here is a recap of the colours that were used backstage during the week with Faby.

Nails were a big focus again for MBFW Australia 2016, with most of the stylists adding the nails into the theme of the collection. Below are some snapshots of colours that were used throughout the week on the runway.

FABY twinkled on the catwalk at one of Australia’s most iconic designers; Ginger & Smart’s Voyagers Resort 17 Collection.  The Ginger & Smart took us on an intergalactic journey with fluid and a symmetrical designs featuring textured white material, galactic prints.

'This is My Style' on the hands & 'Desert Rose' on the toes

The Hair and Make-up was raw and effortlessly a stark contrast to the tailored designs and fitted dresses.

'Yet Another Pink' on hands & 'Naturally' on toes with Matte Top Coat on both

The hair and make-up was free spirited and effortless. Hair was scrunched and free-flowing. The make-up highlighting only natural features with strong emphasis on brows. There were 5 different nail looks to reflect the theme of independence and choice.

'Black is Black', 'The Colours of the Light', 'Midnight Blue' and 'Paris by Night overlay'

The theme was french royalty, opulent and decant. So the hair and makeup was pretty, feminine and innocent. The hair was curled and bouncy.

'Soft Pink'

Recognised for his signature colour tones, ivory, ruby red and navy, Akira broke tradition by adding a new colour palette - white. This collection was a whole new direction for Akira, a white canvas.

'Optical White with Matte Top Coat'

A gorgeous collection that featured different shades of mutted grey suedes and leather, coupled with a strong red - a New York Red Brick Red.

'Metropolis' with Matte Top Coat & 'What's The Next Move' (thin line on the tip in gloss)

The hair, make-up and nail were designed and created in the theme of the brand femininity, individualism, empowerment and strength.

'Beyond the Dunes', 'Metropolis', 'I Scream 4 Ice cream' and 'Sensual Touch'

The hair was messy, relaxed and carefree. The make-up was natural, soft and dewy. The nails symbolised the colour tone of the collection Silver nails with Matte top coat with 1 accent nail painted with an edgy white strip.

'My First Ring' with Matte Top Coat & 'Optical White' (applied with nail art brush)

The much anticipated TOME parade showcased a directional shift for the designing duo. nails and toes were dark and dangerous with a Swarovski crystal featured at the base of each finger nail and on the big toe nail.

'What Are You Doing Tonight'

Thats a wrap!

This year at the Kids Business Bloggers Bruch there were some exciting brands that I haven't met before. An event run by Kids Business, this agency specialises in social media initiatives, word-of-mouth campaigns and public relations for products and services targeting mums.

A motivating and interactive event where a group of brands engage personally with parents and lifestyle bloggers.

With amazing food supplied by Steggles, at a picturesque location Centennial Park, what more can a blogger ask for in a bloggers perfect day out.

It was great to see a variety of different brands showcasing their products, it definitely targeted every aspect of blogging from motherhood, lifestyle and fashion.

It was great to see Jura connecting with Bloggers, showing us how easy it is to be your own at-home barista using a Jura coffee machine. Even my son gave it a go and made himself a hot chocolate!

Not only did the lovely people at JURA Australia show us how to prepare and make the perfect cuppa but they are also supporting Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea 2016.  JURA will be showing their support by donating $50 from the sale of each domestic coffee machine through April and May, by holding morning teas in retail stores and through staff fundraising across Australia.

To know more about Jura Coffee Machines visit their website at

Breville demonstrated three of their flagship products, the Boss to Go personal blender, the Quick Touch microwave, and the new Bakery Boss – the most powerful bench mixer in its class.

Breville demonstrations on their amazing new Bakery Boss.

Amazing and delicious smoothies were available for tastings, even my son loved them!

Delicious green or chocolate smoothies with powerful anti-oxidants and vitamins hidden that even my son didn't know about, blended so finely, no bits were left in your mouth.

I was fortunate to receive one of these Boss-To-Go blenders, I will be trialling it with the family and will post my results.

Cobs Popcorn, a gourmet healthy option for late night snacks.  I'm already a fan of their sweet'n'salty but had no idea how big their range was!

There were samples a plenty and each variety was full of flavour.

There is absolutely nothing artificial in Cobs Popcorn, with organic and natural ingredients, and made in a nut-free facility. Combining 100% wholegrain corn with the goodness of high oleic sunflower oil and raw sugar, this wholesome recipe uses only the very best natural ingredients.
Their delicious flavours include Lightly Salted, Slightly Sweet, Sea Salt, Aged White Cheddar, and Caramel Coated Popcorn.

Just because we become mums doesn't mean we forget about being fashionable. I'm already a fan of Table Eight and Rockman designs and now I am even more admirable to see that these brands support mums. Other clothing brands that were there Beme, W Lane and Amber Rose.

At the Bloggers Brunch, attendees were treated to an exclusive fashion showcase!  We learnt how to dress for our body shape, received style consultations as well as tips and latest trends for every budget.

Sneak peek at the Winter Collection.

Also, a great selection of Amber Rose accessories too!

Sweet sounds were coming from the Yamaha stand. Yamaha is the largest supplier of sound equipment in the world. Yamaha's displayed a range of exciting audio products that work seamlessly with your home. I had no idea Yamaha created such beautiful pieces that blend in nicely with every decor of a home.

Blue-tooth speakers that camouflaged themselves amongst your home decor.  A variety of styles, colours to choose from.  My favourite was this picture frame speaker.

Lunch was brought out as it was time to have a break.  Steggles supplied an amazing array of food. All healthy of course!

They also did a live demonstration on how to roast and carve the perfect chicken.

Delicious sangers and fruit kebabs.

As well as roasted chicken with salad in cute little boats.

And yummy desserts to have with our coffee or tea.

ASG are dedicated to supporting children’s education.

ASG discussed with bloggers how they can assist and support families to plan and invest in their children’s education with a range of education products and resources.  You can invest from as little as $2 a day (Depending on your chosen fund and child’s age).

Life Space is an Australian company passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of Australians with a complete range of probiotics for the whole family.
They’re dedicated to providing the highest quality, specialist formulas based on the most recent clinical research.   Kelli Proudfoot, Life Space’s Senior Naturopath was present to answer technical questions about probiotics and to explain the health benefits of probiotics.

I was very intrigued and eager to speak to the peeps at Lite'n'Easy as I want to lose weight and be healthier but didn't know how it could fit in with my family life as well as a budget.

What I did learn that they customise plans to suit individual needs and budgets so it's suitable for just about everyone.

I'm not sure why but whenever I'm around Medela products I get a little emotional.  My son is now 9 years old and I still feel loyalty to this brand.

Remembering my desperate needs, wanting to breastfeed my son and couldn't (for medical reasons), I remember hubby and I wandering down the isles at Toys R Us looking for a breast pump and we were fortunate enough to speak with a Medela rep who was kind and understanding and showed us a pump that would be perfect.  She saved my sanity and the pump gave me ability to feed my son breast milk.  I was so distraught before finding a Medela breast pump, having tried three other brands and none of them were suitable.

Medela is the only leading global producer of technologically advanced breast pumps and vacuum technology. They also conduct a lot of research and provide education to the community and breastfeeding mums. Medela have been reaching out to the community through various exciting innovative programs assisting breastfeeding mums.

I am excited for mums that Medela have extended their support through their new mobile app MyMedela which is designed to support mums through pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Not only are they providing mums with products to assist but they go that one step further and reach out to support mums as well.

Final words...
As the Bloggers Brunch came to a close, we said our goodbyes and went home with a wealth of information.  A big shout out and thanks to the organisers for once again giving us an great day and opportunity to network.

Since Sephora opened I've been exposed to a plethora of new and amazing beauty products which is so exciting. The Algenist brand is from San Fransisco and have a very impressive range of products.

Algenist is a clinical skincare brand delivering anti-aging innovation from Microalgae, one of the oldest and most nutrient-rich algae in the world.

The story of Algenist is deeply rooted in biotechnology expertise from the heart of the biotechnology industry, San Francisco. Scientists behind the brand were studying Microalgae as a source of environmentally sustainable, renewable energy when they came across an unexpected discovery that revolutionised the skincare industry.

Alguronic Acid
While researching microalgae-based renewable energy solutions, a team of scientists uncovered Alguronic Acid, a patented, powerful compound that is responsible for regenerating and protecting the microalgae cell. When scientifically tested, Alguronic Acid demonstrated significant anti-aging properties, helping to rejuvenate the skin for a more youthful appearance.

Microalgae Oil
Renewable and sustainable, Microalgae Oil is sourced from microalgae and is the second patented-pending ingredient to come from Algenist biotechnology. Its rich composition containing Oleic Acid, Phytosterols, Tocopherols and Tocotrienols, deliver superior benefits to the skin, replenishing essential moisture and nutrient loss. Microalgae Oil is clinically proven to keep skin hydrated 5x longer than untreated skin over a 24-hour period.

The Algenist Melting Cleanser
This image is about The Algenist Melting Cleanser

This unique, luxurious melting cleanser is the best of biotechnology and offers an unparalleled sensorial experience. The powerful formula combines both Alguronic Acid and a new source of nourishing oil, Microalgae Oil, to visibly replenish and smooth skin.

This transforming gel cleanser melts into a silky oil when mixed with water, to gently and effectively lift away all traces of long-wearing makeup. Upon contact with water, this lightweight oil turns into a milky emulsion and rinses clean to wash away impurities leaving skin beautifully cleansed, soft and radiant looking.

The Algenist Ultimate Anti-Aging Melting Cleanser is suitable for all skin types and can be used morning and evening.  I found this to be the most effective cleanswer to remove makeup in it's entirety.

I love it when my favourite brands expand their range.  Natralus Australia is one of them and they have released yet another amazing product to their range - Paw Paw 95% Pure Moisturiser.

This is a picture about paw paw moisturiser

So what does 95% pure moisturiser mean?
It means that 95% of the ingredients are pure, active and skin loving ingredients: a simple perfect trio of organic Paw Paw, organic Aloe Vera and Vitamin E.

The Paw Paw Pure Moisturiser texture has a medium thickness consistency.  It is non greasy nor sticky.  The scent reminds me of a much lighter and more pleasant version of the cocoa butter moisturiser.

This is a picture about paw paw moisturiser

After a long warm shower, I applied the moisturiser all over.  My skin sucked it all in and I felt really hydrated.  The moisturiser is really light, leaving my skin soft, smooth and supple.  It's hard to believe something that feels so light is so intensely hydrating and fast absorbing.

There are many amazing ways to use this moisturiser.  I love doing intense hydration treatments for the hands. Perfect for the colder weather coming, keep your hands crack free and moisturised. Before you go to bed, apply a generous amount all over the hands and wear a pair of cotton gloves. When you wake up in the morning, your hands would of absorbed all the nutrients and feel amazing and super moisturised. It works wonders on the cuticles too.  The same could be done for the feet.  Cover your feet with the moisturiser and wear bed socks.  This can prevent cracked heels and dry feet.

All Natralus Australia products are dermatologically kind to sensitive skin.  They are also alcohol, fragrance and colour free and safe to use on children.

Natralus Paw Paw Pure Moisturiser comes in three sizes $5.95 for 30g, $9.95 for 75g and $15.95 for 200g tube.

This is a picture of Dr Teal's Pure Epsom Salt

What I love about the cooler months is having warm baths.  Music from my ipod playing and relaxing in the tub and doing absolutely nothing. My downtime.

One brand I'm super excited for is Dr Teal's.  I came across this brand in the US whilst travelling. I wanted to but didn't buy any of their salts as I wasn't sure that I would be able to bring it back home, so to find out that Dr Teal's have made it to our shores, I had to get my hands on one.

Dr Teal's therapeutic bath and body products are available in five variants, with three new ones - Detoxify & Energize, Pre-& Post Workout and Revitalize & Refresh.

Containing essential oils to soothe the senses, relax tense muscles and promote overall well being, the range is specially designed to prevent dry skin thanks to the neutral pH and alkaline-free formulation. In addition to the essential oils each of the products are formulated with, contains relaxing epsom salts that the body readily absorbs and leaves the skin feeling soft.

This is a picture of Dr Teal's Pure Epsom Salt

The one I am currently using is Detoxify & Energize, perfect for our body needs at the moment, with intense renovations currently taking place in our home our muscles and joints have reached exhaustion and constant achy back and severely dry skin due to touching paints, solvents and water.

Dr Teal's Pure Epsom Salt Detoxify & Energize contains Ginger and Clay which works naturally to remove the bodies buildup of toxins, easing aches and muscle pains and aids increasing natural energy levels.

The initial opening of the bag, the intensity of the fragrance hits my face and I instantly picture myself already in the bathtub. I couldn't wait to run a bath.

The salts are coarse like rock salt but instantly dissolve when it hits the water.

This is a picture of Dr Teal's Pure Epsom Salt

We've already gone through half the 1.36kg bag and it has truly been a lifesaver.  We choose to bathe in salts than pop panadol.  It also helps in falling asleep quicker!

How to use
Put at least 2 cups of Dr Teal's epsom salt in a warm running bath. Soak for 20 minutes and let the rich minerals absorb through the skin, offering relief to sore muscles.

If you have targeted some joint or body pains you can create a paste and apply to the area affected. To create a paste,  dissolve a handful of Dr Teal's Epsom salt into a cup of hot water and cool the solution in the refrigerator for a least 20 minutes. Clean the skin before applying the paste to the affected area.

Epsom salts are also really good for sprains and stings too.  Add one cup of epsom salt to one quarter of warm water. Immerse a washcloth in the solution and then wring out excess water. Apply the warm washcloth to the affected area until the cloth is no longer warm, repeat two or three times to help reduce pain and swelling.

The Dr Teal's Epsom Salt range retails for $19.99 (1.36kg) and the Foot Soak retails for $14.99.

Dr Teal's range is available to purchase online as well as selected pharmacies. Check out the Chemcorp website for stockists.

Cleansing your face is the most important step in your daily skincare regime and you will be surprised as to how many of you are not cleansing properly.  This leads to congested skin, break-outs and a dullness complexion.

We can look in the mirror and think that we have washed our faces properly but what the eye can't see is what could be the root of most skin problems.

To ensure that you get a good deep clean is to either cleanse twice with using your hands in a circular motion for a minute at a time or use a cleansing brush that does the hard work for you.

This powerful cleansing device utilises sonic frequency to cleanse your skin in just 60 seconds and gentle enough for everyday use. It effectively removes dirt and excess makeup that you wouldn’t remove by the use of a cleanser and cotton pad alone.

The Purasonic kit comes with the cleansing handle, two brushes, charger, USB cable and stand.

This is about Purasonic face cleansing brush

To charge it's simple as plugging it in and placing the round disc on the 'O' on the handle.

This is about Purasonic face cleansing brush

They are magnetic so they will unite as one!

The purasonic facial cleansing brush, handle, brush head and base are waterproof and can be used in the shower or bath.

This is about Purasonic face cleansing brush

It ergonomically fits nicely in my hand giving me ease and comfort when using.

The purist sonic is pre-programmed to offer a one minute cleansing program that consists of 20 seconds on the forehead 20 seconds on the nose and chin regions and 10 seconds on each cheek. The T-zone timer will prompt you to change location on your face with a brief interruption to oscillation.

The Purasonic's oscillations work within the skin's natural elasticity, gently massaging pores back and forth to help dislodge trapped make-up, dirt and debris.

For effective cleaning use warm water to work both the brush head and the skin you will be cleansing and apply your choice of cleanser on the brush head. Make sure you do not press the brush too hard against your skin as this will limit motion effectiveness.

There are three speeds to choose from.  Sensitive, normal and intense.  Changing the brush speed allows you to target specific skin concerns.

I truly love the Purasonic cleansing brush.  I do not know why I have wait so long to actually try it. My skin has never looked better.  It is clearer and softer and smoother.  I have also found that my makeup actually sits better on my skin.

The ultimate bestest thing about this device is using it in the bathtub.  While you lay there relaxing you can massage your face clean.  Love it!

The Purasonic comes in a variety of colours - Arctic White, Lovely Lilac, Perfectly Pink and Zesty Yellow.

The Purasonic retails for $99, a definite must-have to everyone's beauty regime.
