REVIEW: CHOOSING THE RIGHT HAIR DRYER

Buying a hairdryer is just as much of a task as finding the right sanitary pad or tampon.  Different brands, functions and colours but only dearer.

There are so many colours and types of hairdryers that it can become daunting so research is really important. Set yourself a budget and then research the brands and types for that budget.

To make things easier I have picked two hairdryers that retail for under $100 to help you understand what you get for your money.  I have also researched hairdryers retailed over $100 and personally I don't see the need to spend that much on a product that basically does a similar thing.

Wahl Supadryer 1800 Ionic Hair Dryer

WAHL have been around forever and have been manufacturing hairstyling and grooming products since 1919. Their  tools are always beautifully designed, never compromising quality, form or function.

This Supadryer is a 1800w hair dryer with ionic technology for super shine hair. Features an ergonomic design and super fast drying results.

This vibrant purple colour will certainly brighten up the bathroom.  I love it especially against my all white bathroom. A medium sized hair dryer, it's noise level is quite good comparing to others on the market.  It isn't as heavy as some and my arms didn't get tired whilst blow drying my hair.

Attachments included is the nozzle pictured as well as a diffuser. They are easy to attach and detach.

Functions are simple.  It includes an ion button.  so, what does this do?

Ionic dryers help water evaporate faster from the hair, resulting in shorter dry time which does less damage to the hair.  This is beneficial if you do not use heat protecting products otherwise a hairdryer without Ion function is just as good but make sure you use heat protecting products before you do so.

Comes with two years manufacturers warranty.

WAHL is retails for $89.95 and is available online at www.ry.com.au

Remington Shine Revival

Did you know that Remington started off making products like firearms, sewing machines and farm implements? I know, freaky eh.  It seems so random that they started creating personal care products in the 1930s, how innovative!

The Remington Shine Revival Hairdryer has Triple Infusion Technology which combines Keratin, Argan and Ceramic to ensure your hair is kept strong, healthy and shiny whilst styling.  It has been designed with ultra-silent technology and includes six switch combinations including a cool shot. It has a removable filter, professional concentrator and hang loop.

Remington Shine Revival Hair Dryer is a 2300-watt hairdryer with a salon professional AC motor.   Noise level is the same as the WAHL and weight is roughly the same as well.

Included in this pack is round brush, sectioning clips,

Osmo Berber Oil Shampoo (50ml), Osmo Berber Oil Mask (50ml), and a beauty pouch.  There is no diffuser.

Comes with a three year warranty.

Remington Shine Revival retails for $69.95 and is available at participating retailers: Good Guys, Myer, Shaver Shop, Betta Stores, Harvey Norman, & Target.

Both hairdryers had a quality sturdy feel to it. Make sure before you buy a hairdryer you handle it and see if you like the way it feels in your hands. Also check out the attachments and make sure they are what you want.

What hairdryer do you use? Are you brand loyal or are your styling tools all different brands?
