LAUNCH: Goodness Natural Beauty Lab

Brand: Goodness
When:  Friday, 1st May 2015
Where: Surry Hills

Last Friday I attended the Goodness Natural Beauty Lab launch, which was held in District 01 in Surry Hills.  The warehouse was all white and cosy.  Simple with very little props except for Goodness products.  My perception of the event was simple, stripped back to basics, which I believe represented the brand.

With any type of event/launch a normal budget would usually cost around the $25,000 mark, Maxted Thomas PR decided to deliver a launch with a difference, less fancy pants and more nautral goodness.

Instead of meals and champagne, we were treated to a yummy healthy smoothie and a delicious caramel slice from Egg of the Universe.  Tables were decorated with gorgeous simple crafty pieces which were really effective with colour and theme.

There was no AV systems, projectors or microphones. Just pure and simple!

During the presentation, Ian, from Maxted Thomas PR, explained the reason behind the simple layout.  We turned our place mat around to find a list of organisations to choose where we want the money saved from the launch budget to go to.

The $5,000 saved from the flower and styling budget was donated to Send Hope, Not Flowers - a company who work to help reduce maternal mortality rates in developing countries. The $2,500 saved from the AV budget was donated to Little Sun, a charity that aims to provide clean, solar-powered light to as many people in off-grid areas of the world as possible. And the $2,000 catering budget was donated to Ozharvest - a company that collects quality excess food from commercial outlets and delivers it to 600 charities across Australia.

It was breath of fresh air to attend such a lovely event, it still felt special because we were there to find out about a new brand as well as knowing that several organisations were going to benefit from it.

Goodness Natural Beauty Lab was developed in New Zealand by the teams behind Trilogy and Ecoya. We all know that Chia seeds is great for the health of our bodies as well as amazing for the health of our skin. Goodness uses Certified Organic Chia Seed Oil.  Though it’s popular in Europe, Goodness Natural Beauty Lab is the first company in Australasia to use the ingredient in a beauty product. The brand has been working with a cooperative of Chia seed growers from all over Central America, who use traditional farming methods to collect the Chia seeds.

Chia seed oil has the perfect 3:1 ratio of omega 3 to omega 6 essential fatty acids. Omega-3 with a dash of omega 6 delivers the perfect balance of essential fatty acids to skin, promoting anti-inflammatory benefits, hydration, and nourishment.

The Certified Organic Chia Seed Oil is certified organic with BioGro NZ and uses a totally solvent-free extraction process.
