Pepsi Next Challenge Picnic and Giveaway

Pepsi were kind enough to send me this wonderful picnic basket and blanket with some delish goodies to trial and enjoy.  Unfortunately, our Sydney weather has been so unpredictable. We had planned to have a picnic for two weekends and both times it rained. My son who is almost 7 years old loves having BBQs and picnics especially when his cousins are present.

So instead of waiting for the squishy grass to dry we decided to hold an inside picnic with friends. Since the kids were preoccupied on the Wii us mums decided to enjoy the inside picnic ourselves.

I don't mind frizzy drinks, I'm more of a soda/mineral water drinker, not by preference mostly by choice. I suffer from PCOS and am insulin resistant. I do not have diabetes but I do have to watch my sugar intake and have a low GI diet.

There are sugar free drinks out there but I prefer not to have those foul tasting drinks than have an artificial aftertaste linger in my mouth. So, this is where Pepsi Next is different.  The taste of Pepsi Next isn’t sweet and did not leave an aftertaste in my mouth, instead it was smooth and crisp with a really nice flavour.  I personally think it tastes better than regular Pepsi.  My friends on the other hand, are Coke Zero drinkers and it took a little persuasion for them to try but very little effort to convert.

Pepsi Next has 30% less sugar than regular cola drinks. What’s great for me is that Pepsi Next has been able to do this naturally, thanks to using Stevia. Pepsi Next is the first Cola in Australia to use Stevia. You can read more about Stevia & Pepsi Next here.

Here we are enjoying our picnic with a bottle of Vodka hidden inside the picnic basket!
