Lancôme Advanced Génifique Youth Activating Concentrate Review

What the Lancome Génifique Youth Activating Concentrate is supposed to do is boost the activity of our genes so skin looks and feels younger. The 2 biotech active ingredients are Bio-Lysat – stimulates gene’s expression of the identified youth protein; and Phytosphingosine – re-establishes protein synthesis and promotes the development of higher quality, more beautiful skin.

The serum comes in a heavy smoked black glass bottle. It feels luxurious. Each morning and evening I apply 1-2 drops for the face and neck before the moisturiser.

Génifique Youth Activating Concentrate is a really nice product. The texture of the serum is thick and luxe absorbing immediately into the skin.  I think it would be perfect for all skin types.

After a week of using Genefique I found my skin smoother and supple and well hydrated but that was about it, the true result were visible after 3 weeks of constant use.  The fine lines on my forehead and neck had faded, some pigment around my top cheeks had also faded.  I had a luminous glow which gave me a healthier look.

This product is a defninte essential staple to any beauty regime.  A great anti-ageing product that produces results.

Overall rating 4.5/5

MY L'ÉTÉ PAPILLION DE CHANEL SPLURGE

I recently attended another Chanel customer VIP night at the Chanel Beaute in Bondi Junction for the launch of L'ete Papillion De Chanel and Les Beiges.

These intimate evenings that Chanel hold are fun to attend. I get to explore and play with the new products and better still buy them!

Here is what I bought on the night

Eau Premiere Limited Edition set

Le Vernis in Azure + Bel-Argus & Mascaras in Blue Note + Lime Light

I can't wait to get home and play with these amazing products.

At the end of the night I walked away with not only some amazing products but also a fab goodie bag.

Chanel Parfum 1932 - A new addition for the Chanel exclusifs family

I was meant to publish this post a few weeks back and realised it was still in draft, so here goes!

Chanel has launched yet another fragrance from the prestigious collection Les Exclusifs de Chanel.  The inspiration for this creation lies in the first collection of fine jewelry of this house that was presented in 1932.

The composition is powdery-floral with a focus on jasmine. It opens with fresh citrusy flavors that include aldehydes, bergamot and neroli. The heart is a heady floral, composed of jasmine, rose, ylang-ylang, lilac and carnation. The base is sweet, woody and resinous with notes of vetiver, orris, sandalwood, opoponax, incense, vanilla, coumarin, ambrette, musk and iralia molecule which possesses the character of iris and violet.

Chanel 1932 marks the year Coco Chanel began designing luxury jewelry.  The perfume was designed by Jacques Polge to commemorate and celebrate this collection.

I received a card in the mail to come to the Chanel Beaute Boutique to see, smell and experience the new fragrance 1932.  I did not know what to expect as Chanel already have a large amount of unique scents to it's name and yet again managed to release another classy and luxurious fragrance.  After my 1932 experience which involved the sampling and story behind the making I walked away with a lovely miniature sample of the fragrance.

Johnson's Baby Mum to Mum Project Launch

WHEN:   8th May 11.00am
WHERE: Bondi Junction

Johnson's Baby Australia & Murdoch Childrens Research Institute held an intimate Mum to Mum Launch Event with Sarah Murdoch and Ada Nicodemou at TheMamaClub in Bondi Junction.

Sarah Murdoch, (spokeswomen for Murdoch Children’s Research Institute) and Ada Nicodemou (Actress) spoke about what it was like being a mum for the first time and about the launch of a new Facebook app created by Johnson's Baby, to inspire, help and share the bond of motherhood and to allow new mums who are just starting their journey to share their piece of motherly wisdom.

This app will be live until September. Go to Johnson's Baby Australia on Facebook, like the page and click on Mum to Mum Project APP.

Associate Professor Stephanie Brown (Healthy Mothers Healthy Families research group leader/principal research fellow), was also a guest speaker to discuss her research on 'The voice of women'. It was so inspiring hearing her talk about her experience about her grandson and the challenges she and her daughter had faced as well as studies that show's that being a new mum is a challenge in itself and that the first four years postpartum sees mums experience a number of mental and physical issues such as urinary incontinence, recurrent back pain, depressive symptoms, anxiety/panic attacks and tiredness/exhaustion.  One in five women has experienced physical or emotional abuse in the first four years of motherhood.

This is was makes this project so important.  I feel passionate about this project and wish it will be a humungous success.  I wish this had been launched when I had my son, with all the difficulties I encountered including post natal depression I did not receive much support and whatever support there was I wasn't aware of it till much later.  So if you are reading this blog please support Johnson's Baby Mum to Mum Project.

In between the talks we were treated to delish cupcakes and sandwiches.

I even walked away with a couple of extra cupcakes.  Unfortunately my son and hubby got to them before I could devour in a piece!

Amele Women Intimate Wipes & Wash

Currently there is a promotion that you can receive samples to try.  I received my small pack of samples of the Amele wipes, wash and shaving gel.

WIPES
I loved the discrete packaging, if I had them in my bag and one fell out no one would take a second glance knowing what it would be.  The scent is neutral and after use I had no irritation.

WASH
The scent was neutral and the wash did not dry my bits out as would soap.  Its an alternative to soap to prevent any irritation.

SHAVING GEL
I did not use as I do not shave down there so I cannot comment on that.

Items perfect for travelling and/or if your out all day and need a freshen up without a shower.
