The Vow Movie Review

Directed by: Michael Sucsy
Starring: Rachel McAdams, Channing Tatum, Sam Neill, Scott Speedman, Jessica Lange.

Paige Collins (Rachel McAdams) and her husband Leo (Channing Tatum) were returning home after a night the movies. On their way home, Leo stops at a stop sign and at an impulse Paige unbuckles her seatbelt to lean over and kiss Leo. At that very moment, a truck rams their car from behind and Paige crashes through the windshield.

When Paige comes out of a coma she doesn’t remember her husband Leo having lost all memories of the past few years.

With Leo numerous attempts to make Paige fall in love with him all over again but continued to fail. He eventually gives up.

After a lot of soul searching and trying to piece together her life she becomes to realise that the only person that truly loves her and the way she is, is Leo.

It has been a long time since I’ve seen such a ‘goosebump’ feeling type of movie. With its ups and downs, emotional, sadness and laughs I really loved this movie and would watch it again and again. It was even better knowing that it was based on a true story and it had a happy ending. It shows that fate does exist and happens. If it was meant to be, it’s meant to be.

My overall rating - 4/5
