Street Dance 2 Movie review

Directed by: Max Giwa, Dania Pasquini
Starring: Tom Conti, Falk Hentschel, Sofia Boutella, George Simpson

An exciting feel-good dance movie. I totally love them. Movie starts with a dance off between groups, an announcement was made if anyone dared to challenge the winners ‘Invincibles’ to a dance off. Popcorn boy Ash (Hentschel) takes the stage with a routine to only fall on his back. After suffering humiliation by the crew Invincibles, street dancer Ash looks to gather the best dancers from around the Europoe to create his own crew for a rematch.

To beat the world's best dance crew at a dance-off in Paris, France, street dancer Ash and new friend and manager, Eddie (George Sampson), travel around Europe to gather the greatest street dancers, whilst hoping to add a Latin element of salsa dancer Eva (Sofia Boutella).

A combination of Samba, Tango and Salsa all mixed in with street dance, definitely a challenge and an interesting one. Ash’s group have to learn all the dances from scratch to have a chance of winning the European Dance competition.

I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. I would have to say the acting was not all that great but the story line was. Thoroughly entertaining. I couldn’t stop moving to the music. Great family movie.

Overall rating 3/5
